Firm

Firm is the partner cockpit — the firm-level view of money, capacity, and decisions. It is partner-only, enforced at the database: non-partners can't see the tab or its data at all.

What's in it

  • Monthly review — the standing agenda: what changed, what needs a decision, follow-ups (which can spawn tasks).
  • Financials — revenue, expenses, EBITDA, and cash, by period, sourced from Xero when connected.
  • Forecast — forward cash / revenue view with target and warning thresholds.
  • Service-line metrics and A/R aging — where revenue and receivables sit.
  • Per-partner workload — files and 90-day hours by partner, to spot who's overloaded vs underutilized.

Time analytics

A 90-day roll-up of logged time: hours and billable % by person, plus firm-wide value, cost, and margin. Internal / non-billable time is carved out so the billable figures stay honest. This is the firm-level companion to the per-person Labour analysis on the Time tab.

Service-line library (actuals)

For each service line, the average hours, fee, effective $/hr, and marginfrom real logged jobs. It's your reality check when pricing new work — "a typical Annual FRP runs ~78h at $185/hr" — and it fills in as time accrues. It pairs with the pricing estimator on a pursuit.

Targets & alerts

Set firm targets — breakeven and target $/hr, utilization %, and cash / revenue thresholds — in Settings. They drive the colouring and the auto-flagged signals across the Firm cockpit and the Labour analysis.

Firm data is protected at the database, not just hidden in the UI: the firm-reporting tables are gated to partners, so only partners can read EBITDA, cash, forecast, and partner decisions.
