Referrals

Referrals is your relationship engine — the partners and centres of influence who send you work, and the give-first habit that keeps those relationships warm. The goal is simple: never let a valuable relationship go quiet by accident.

Relationships

Each referral partner is a contact (usually at an organization) you've marked as a relationship to nurture. A relationship carries an owner, a category and specialties, and a cadence — how often you intend to stay in touch. When a relationship is overdue for a touch, it surfaces as a task.

Touches & give-first

A touchis any meaningful contact — an intro you made, a resource you sent, a coffee, a thank-you. Ventura logs these so you can see who you've invested in and who's gone quiet. The give-first framing is deliberate: track what you give before what you get.

Auto-capture does much of this for you. When email and calendar are connected, Ventura records email and meeting touches against your tracked contacts automatically (business accounts only) — so the relationship log reflects reality without manual data entry.

Collateral

Track the one-pagers and materials you send to partners and prospects, and which contact received what — useful for follow-up and for seeing which collateral actually lands.

Referrals is business-development data, so it's restricted: partners see all relationships; senior managers and managers see the BD they own; staff and contractors don't see this workspace.
